Before becoming active in the 8th Air Force Historical Society, I had two successful professional careers. The first was for 23 years as Executive Director of the Morris County (NJ) Medical Society. This was followed by being a small business owner of my own retail shop for 19 years. By the time I retired I had become involved in my father’s WWII Bomb Group, the Fighting 493rd Memorial Assoc. He was a Major and flew 30 missions initially piloting B-24s and then transitioning to B-17s. His name was Victor G. Aubry, Jr.

After serving as the Treasurer of the Fighting 493rd BG for 4 years, I was nominated to the Boad of the 8th Air Force Historical Society in 2017. After being elected by the membership, I was then immediately elected Treasurer by the Board.

Looking back over the last 7 years, I have served as Treasurer for 6 of these years and as Society President for 3 years with these positions overlapping for 2 years. I will complete my second four-year term at the 2025 Reunion in Colorado Springs. I have immensely enjoyed serving on the Board. For me it has always been about the members and honoring the legacy of my dad.
