NotesOriginal airplane (pesky # 550). Individual aircraft letter changed from K+ to K- between 8 & 23 May 44. Repaired at Bovingdon, Hertfordshire 24 - 28 Jun 44 - #3 engine damaged on 24 Jun 44 mission to Brétigny, France. Landed on return from 17 Jul 44 mission to Belfort, France, at Manston, Kent, having lost # 1 engine over the target and low on fuel. Repaired there 18 & 19 Jul 44 - engine trouble. Lost 25 Aug 44 - landed at Bulltofta (Malmo), SWEDEN, - having been hit by flak shortly after making landfall and having developed engine trouble, the plane was forced to drop out of the formation and instead of carrying on to the target (Wismar), it bombed Kiel docks. MACR 8293 Brought back to BAD 1, Burtonwood, Lancashire, 7 or 12 Jul 45.
