Before It’s a Wonderful Life, Jimmy Stewart was a B-24 pilot and squadron commander in the Eighth Air Force. He flew 20 combat missions over Europe with the 445th and 453rd Bomb Groups. A new feature film, JIMMY, tells that story. It opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, November 6, just ahead of Veterans Day.

The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force provided research and support for the film.
